Towball requirements for Thule VeloCompact 926, Velospace 918, Velospace XT 938 & 939, EasyFold XT 933 & 934
Thule towball mount carriers 926, 938, 939, 933 & 934, feature a precision towball coupling mechanism (the Hercules coupler) which is designed for use only with 50mm towballs meeting the ISO1103 standard (also known as the ISO50mm standard) The measurement from top of flange to top of towball must be at least 75mm.

Thule carriers fitted with the Hercules coupler are not compatible with 1 7/8” (47mm) towballs commonly fitted to vehicles in New Zealand nor is the coupler compatible with “convert-a-ball” type towballs where the user can change between 1 7/8” and 50mm balls without demounting the towball shank.
If the user has a conventional towbar with a flat tongue and wishes to install a 50mm towball to accommodate one of these Thule carriers, then we recommend purchasing one of our stocked towballs.

*Please note - there are 50mm towballs in use and available for sale that do not comply with the ISO standard and have characteristics which will result in the clamp mechanism not engaging correctly leading to either coupler damage, an insecure carrier or both.

Delivery times for rural areas can vary depending on how often couriers service your location. Some rural deliveries may only be serviced once a week, so we recommend checking with your local rural courier if timing is important.

How Australian Orders Work
Order Processing
Orders do not ship same-day. All Australian orders first arrive at our Auckland HQ warehouse, where they are collated and processed for export. This can take up to 3 business days before dispatch.
Multiple Items
If your order contains multiple items, we’ll collate them at our Auckland HQ and ship them together so your order arrives in full.
Remote Areas
Delivery to rural or remote parts of Australia, including WA, NT, and Far North QLD, may take longer than the standard 4–6 business day estimate.
Dispatch Schedule
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm NZ time. Our daily processing cut-off is 3:00pm NZ time. Orders placed after this, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed the next business day.
