The derailleur and cassette are great, nice, solid and smooth. The chain is standard shimano. The XT shifter is disappointingly stiff/notchy and plastic-feeling with it's downshifts. (Upshifts are very light and easy, which shows that the downshift feeling is due to the shifter rather than the cable/derailleur)
