Fully degrease drivetrain thoroughly before lube application.
Ensure the drivetrain area is dry. For optimum results, we recommend removing your chain before or after cleaning, and drying it thoroughly in an oven, to ensure all moisture is removed before applying Ludicrous Lube.
Shake the bottle vigorously and apply a moderate amount of Ludicrous Lube to the inside of each chain link, whilst spinning pedals in a reverse motion. For optimum results, we recommend using an Ultrasonic Tank, to ensure total critical surface coverage.
Apply the night before your race. For optimum results, we recommend allowing as much time as possible for Ludicrous Lube to work its magic.
Wipe off excess lube carefully.

How to ensure your chain is in its optimal performance window

Ludicrous Lube will work straight out of the bottle, but for maximum race performance, the friction modifier should be activated first. The activation occurs during articulation of the chain by attracting the additive in the lubricant and adsorption occurs. With a new chain or a chain treated with Ludicrous Lube for the first time, a minimum of 2-3hrs riding followed by a clean and retreat will give optimum results. Then, pre-race, 30 mins of riding will get you to the absolute performance sweet spot. As the additives start adsorbing on either side of the contact, the formation of a low friction plane is initiated, and friction starts to decrease. Multiple cleans and retreats will continue to improve the performance as the chain reaches an optimised state.

Additional note: To avoid corrosion, clean and re-lube immediately after riding in wet conditions to maintain peak performance. Keep out of the reach of children.

Orders do not ship the same day. All Australian orders first come into our Auckland HQ warehouse, where they are collated and processed for export. This means dispatch can take up to 3 business days after your order is placed.
