The Backcountry Hip Pack is a lightweight, comfortable carry choice when you need more space but don’t want to wear a backpack. It combines the trail-ready features of the Backcountry Series with our expertise in on-body carry to create the perfect blend of carrying capacity and all-day comfort. Small details like a zipper capable of storing a spare chain link ensure you can carry everything you need for anything you might encounter in the backcountry.
Constructed from lightweight, breathable mesh and durable, waterproof nylon ripstop, the mountain bike waist pack features a main compartment with internal organisation pockets and two external pockets for easy access on the go. The waist strap features an elasticated velcro closure, enhanced with a secondary security buckle to dial in the on-bike anatomic fit. A high-contrast reflective design enhances visibility in all light conditions.
The Backcountry Hip Pack is made to handle the roughest rides. Designed with an ergonomic fit to sit comfortably and securely all day, no matter the conditions or the terrain.
The waistband is designed with enough stretch to ensure the pack can be worn in a variety of positions and over bulky layering, whilst always remaining comfortable and unobtrusive.

WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE
The Backcountry Hip Pack comes in a single size made to accommodate as many riders as possible and has been designed with all-day comfort in mind. To check the product fits we recommend measuring your waist, at the point where you’d like the pack to sit, whilst wearing your regular riding gear. The pack’s waist strap has some stretch and so if you are near to, or slightly over, the upper limit, there is enough give for the pack to still fit comfortably.

Materials
The Backcountry Hip Pack is made from nylon ripstop; a rugged fabric made to our own exacting specifications for durability and waterproofing. Designed for the demands of off-road riding, this ensures light weight, low stretch, and high abrasion and tear resistance. Notably, the cycling hip pack is seam taped, creating a watertight seal that ensures the hip pack remains completely waterproof.
The velcro strap has an elastic stretch casing and features a Hypalon panel which provides additional support for the security buckle. The fastening system uses Woojin buckles for their reliability and the side straps feature lightweight mesh and padding for comfort. Low profile, quick drying padding on the rear of the bag further improves comfort without adding bulk.
Care Instructions
Wash the Hip Pack by hand, using a mild diluted soap if necessary. Afterwards, let it air dry.
Do not machine wash, machine dry, or iron.

Products showing "Ships Direct from Supplier", "Ships from logistics warehouse" or similar wording are dispatched directly from one of our suppliers. These items are normally dispatched within 1 working day unless a different processing timeframe is displayed.
Specific Dispatch Timeframes
Some products require extra processing time. For example, "Logistics Warehouse – Allow approx. 2 working days before dispatch" or "Aus Stock – Dispatch in approx. 7–10 working days". Where a specific timeframe is displayed against an item, that timeframe applies.
Dispatch Time vs Delivery Time
Dispatch time is the time required for your item to leave the Hyper Ride warehouse or supplier warehouse. Courier delivery time begins after the item has been dispatched.
The dispatch timeframe shown against the individual product on the product page, at checkout, or in your order confirmation takes priority over the general timeframes on this page.
If your order contains products from more than one dispatch location, your items may be sent separately and arrive at different times. Each parcel may also have a different courier and tracking number.

Signature Required
Orders are sent signature required by default. If you provide permission to leave in your shipping notes, the courier may leave the parcel without a signature where their service allows.
PO Box Delivery

Tracking
For orders shipped from our Auckland warehouse, NZ Post tracking is automatically emailed once the courier collects and scans your parcel. Supplier-direct tracking is not always supplied automatically, so please contact us if your expected dispatch timeframe has passed and you have not received tracking.

Hyper Ride Warehouse Tracking
Hyper Ride warehouse orders are shipped using NZ Post. Tracking is automatically forwarded to you once NZ Post collects and scans the parcel. Tracking may not show movement until the first courier scan has taken place.
Supplier Tracking
Supplier-direct orders use the supplier's nominated courier. Tracking details are not always automatically forwarded to us or to the customer. If the dispatch timeframe shown against your product has passed, email us and we can request the tracking for you.
Orders From Multiple Locations
If your order contains products from the Hyper Ride warehouse and one or more supplier warehouses, the items may be dispatched separately and arrive on different days.
Different Couriers
Split orders may use different courier companies and have separate tracking numbers. Please check the dispatch information shown against each item in your order confirmation.

How Australian Orders Work
Order Processing
Orders do not ship same-day. All Australian orders first arrive at our Auckland HQ warehouse, where they are collated and processed for export. This can take up to 3 business days before dispatch.
Multiple Items
If your order contains multiple items, we’ll collate them at our Auckland HQ and ship them together so your order arrives in full.
Remote Areas
Delivery to rural or remote parts of Australia, including WA, NT, and Far North QLD, may take longer than the standard 4–6 business day estimate.
Dispatch Schedule
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm NZ time. Our daily processing cut-off is 3:00pm NZ time. Orders placed after this, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed the next business day.

You’ll automatically receive a Team Global Express tracking link once your parcel leaves Auckland and is scanned into the carrier network.
Customs & Duty Charges
International orders may be subject to customs or import duties once they reach Australia. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient. Hyper Ride cannot control, predict, or waive these fees, and we cannot mark orders as gifts.
